Spirit of the Wind - Beneteau 505
Spirit of the Wind was built in France
and her designers carefully considered the need to produce
a charter yacht that offered its guests a high level
of comfort and space as well as superb sailing performance.
Her twin
helms mean that you’re perfectly positioned to
check the sails and hold your course, and her sleek
lines help her glide through the water reaching some
impressive speeds.
This elegant
Beneteau 505 is comfortable at sail and stable at anchor.
Sailing is a breeze with auto pilot, a GPS chart plotter
and a wind and depth guage. For shore excursions there
is a 10ft AB RIB.

 |
| Spirit
of the Wind has a beautifully appointed teak interior
which is both spacious and stylish.

The
Staterooms
The
four ensuite staterooms each have a queen sized
bed and ensuite bathroom facilities. Each has
an over-head hatch and side porthole which will
ensure that you’ll sleep comfortably, cooled
by the Caribbean breeze. There are also fans in
each of the cabins.
Having
worked on very large and well-known luxury charter
yachts, Captain Christian understands the importance
of providing high quality linens and towels for
his guests.

The
Galley
The galley is comprehensively kitted out
with a Force 9 oven, ample refrigeration
and storage space, and tasteful crockery.

Inside
Dining
On the rare occasions that you want to dine
inside the boat, the spacious salon easily
accommodates everyone around the varnished
table.
 |
|
|
 |
 |
Spirit of the Wind has a large cockpit area
protected by a bimini. Dining al fresco is
one of the under-stated pleasures when you
charter a sailboat in the Caribbean.
The cockpit dining area will comfortably seat
eight guests around the fold-away table. So
unleash the chef in you and cook up a storm
using the on-deck bbq and enjoy dining under
the stars.
The ample lockers on-deck will provide you
with sufficient storage for any special equipment,
such as kitesurfing gear, you may wish to
bring onboard.
|
 |
|
There is
a cooler on deck so a refreshing Piton (the
local St Lucian beer) is never far from
hand, and cockpit cushions to ensure you
can relax in comfort.

Safety
Equipment
Once onboard, your bags stowed away, and
a cool drink in-hand, your captain will
give you a comprehensive briefing to ensure
your safety onboard.
Spirit of
the Wind has eight lifejackets, GPS, flares
and of course, an eight-man liferaft.

Toys
Snorkelling equipment is included on Spirit
of the Wind. However, if you have an unusual
footsize or a prescription mask, we recommend
you bring your own equipment.
There is
also a fishing rod for guests’ use
but we ask you to respect local fishing
laws.
We
can arrange for the hire of kitesurfing
equipment and kayaks (US$50 a week).
